Rates & Fees

Rates & Fees

We are committed to providing reliable price information to our patients and to help them better understand their healthcare costs and/or out-of-pocket responsibilities. The best way to truly understand the out-of-pocket costs of healthcare services is to speak directly with your insurance company or to request an estimate from our billing specialist.

Price Transparency

At Wilmington Mental Health, we believe in providing high-quality, accessible care with honesty and integrity. As part of your commitment to you, we follow all Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines regarding price transparency.

Price transparency means that you, as a patient, have the right to know the cost of your care before you receive it. This allows you to make an informed decision about your care and understand what to expect regarding your financial responsibility.

Under CMS guidelines, you have the right to:

  • Receive clear and accessible information about your healthcare costs.
  • Request a written estimate for services before your appointment.
  • Ask questions and receive support from our staff regarding your billing and insurance.

Please note: Actual out-of-pocket costs may vary depending on your insurance plan, coverage, and specific services you receive. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider for information about your benefits and financial responsibility.

Additional Information

Our fees are subject to change with a 90-day advance notice. There may be a slight variation amongst individual provider's rates. Administrative Requests, Letters & Family Discussions: $___/hour — includes any letter or form to a third party, summary of care, medical record requests and discussions about care with individuals besides the patient (with patient permission). PLease allow 14 days for administrative requests.

Accepted Payments

There are many ways to pay. We accept most forms of payments—cash, checks, debit and credit card, HSA and FSA cards.

Keep In Mind

Wilmington Mental Health cannot guarantee that your insurance company will cover our services or follow through with their original Explanation of Benefits. Wilmington Mental Health offers flexible payment options to facilitate access to treatment for the average person.

Payment is due before any services are rendered. If you cannot afford to pay the entire cost for your visit on the day of your appointment, you will be asked to complete a promissory note.

If you recently lost your job, you may qualify to continue health coverage under COBRA and keep your health insurance for a specified period of time, as long as you continue to pay the premium.

Psychotherapy is typically covered by pre-tax Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) or Health Spending Accounts (HSAs).

Insurance companies require that we submit claims that include diagnoses and information pertinent to your treatment. Our rights to maintain information shared during your mental health treatments means we are allowed to disclose only the minimum necessary to justify the services we have provided.

At Wilmington Mental Health, we believe mental health treatment is a right, not a privilege. We will gladly help you determine the best treatment course based on your needs.

The Importance of Investing Into Your Mental Health

When you seek mental health treatment, you are making a responsible decision and lowering your risk. During and after COVID-19, we have become more aware of the importance of investing in your mental health. The impact of counseling could improve your emotional and psychological health.

Those who are unfamiliar with therapy may think about the financial investment and time involved in therapy, which in turn discourages them from seeking our care.

Benefits of Psychotherapy:

Emotional relief and stability
Greater sense of self and purpose
Mental and emotional health education
Better expression and management of emotions
Improved problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
Increased confidence, self-esteem, and communication skills
Recognition of distorted thinking and self-defeating behaviors

We offer In-Person or Virtual visits.
