Wilmington Mental Health offers a full spectrum of diagnostic services ranging from clinical comprehensive assessment to specialized testing for ADHD, immigration, anger management, and eating disorders. These assessments are designed to inform both treatment planning or legal documentation where necessary.
What Does It Look Like?
In the first stage of your assessment, you and your provider will sit down to complete an hour-long assessment. During this initial review, your medical and psychosocial background is essential to understand how your mental health symptoms have affected you and what has or has not worked for you in the past.
During the assessment, expect to answer questions about your medical conditions, past mental illness, sociocultural history, and your presenting problem. From there, your provider will assess and make suggestions on moving forward.
