I grew up in North Carolina and have lived here for 24 years and have seen the area grow and transform abundantly. I have witnessed the mental health reform in this state closely to learn many were left without due to reform and see our homeless rate increase exponentially. It has been a passion of mine to help others and see change whether individually or groups through therapy and advocacy. I became a therapist after working in business, medical, and running my own business; and felt like I had yet to find my niche. It has been my own radical self-acceptance of what is (past and present) and who I am that brought me to the field with a passion to assist others in their pursuit of healing and overcoming struggle.
