TRANSPORTATION
Scheduled
Rides
Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority, better known as Wave locally, now offers point-to-point services to anyone traveling within designated areas of Brunswick, Pender, and New Hanover counties. The service is a pilot program that allows passengers schedule rides and be picked up from a “virtual stop” for a fee instead of having to wait for a bus. This on-demand-request option makes Waves more flexible and convenient to passengers who need wider selections of stops and destinations at an affordable price.

REAL CONNECTIONS
Benefits
Of In-Person
Due to concerns about COVID-19 it was recommended that most human interactions occurred virtually. Although it is possible to obtain all necessary information during a virtual assessment to make an informed and valid assessment, there are many factors that are in play during treatment that simply cannot be replicated during a virtual visit. We encourage in-person interactions but also have endorsed a blended approach. For those who cannot make it to our office in person, online treatment may be the best solution, and for those who do not have transportation or are experiencing trouble with their vehicle, using RIDEMicro may be a temporary solution.
